It’s Sunday and it’s raining and it’s difficut to summon up the enthusiasm to go out today. So, apart from a short walk around the orchard with Alfie, we didn’t.
But, so that our day is not completely forgotten, we have played Bananagrams a lot and Peter dozed while I painted. Out of three efforts I was only reasonably happy with two small watercolours.

Boats at Brancaster Staithe

Stranded Sunk Island boats
Peter took this photo of a Shaggy Ink Cap in the orchard yesterday…
24 hours later and it seems to have disintegrated.
This really is lovely countryside. A photo from Peter’s walk around the orchard in a brief sunny period today…
Later, as the sun is waning. Is this a good omen for tomorrow? It will be our last day here so hope so.
Great watercolours!

The first photo Shaggy Ink Cap looks like a melting ice lolly – very strange!
