Another beautiful day breaks today – blue skies once more. We set forth to the airport, me taking yet more photos out of the window on the way, unable to resist the turquoise waters and the ancient remains…
…boats and, of course, sheep!

These two lambs were so desperate they wouldn’t let the ewe to reach the other side of the road!
We stopped at Earsary and sat on the wooden seat overlooking the bay and the islands. I started a small watercolour while Peter (with Alfie) took photos of all the birds and sheep around…

Courtship!

Eiders

Two male Eiders flanking the courting couple!

Tern on the lookout for a tasty tidbit for his lady love

Male Tern feeding his love in the nest!

The Tern dive-bombing the Oyster Catcher near their nest – notice the poo on the Oyster Catchers’s back!

I love the look on this ewe’s face!

The first Whimbrel we have found to photograph!
What a beautiful and peaceful place to spend an hour or so.
We eventually tore ourselves away and went down to the Co-op, passing three ponies and some Highland cattle on a hill.
We returned to Eoligarry via the Atlantic coast and the old residence that used to house the landowners in the 19th century and has been lying derelict for some years.
The protestant church has had a viewing platform built – not quite sure why.
We did some work on the plans for my play and I edited all the photos from the day before falling asleep…
I’m surprised that no-one has snapped up that derelict house. Fabulous bird photos dad.

It looks like there is some work going on at the derelict house. Love the shots of the birds in flight.

Love the photo of the sheep and the Oyster Catcher! It looks like the Oyster Catcher is trying to sneak past without the sheep noticing.

There are a lot of photos that look like animals are standing on top of other animals.
